Integrative Root Cause Therapy for Anxiety & Stress Online
At Integara Therapy, we move beyond symptom management and coping to create lasting transformation — ease in your body, clarity in your mind, and balance in your emotions. We look beneath the surface and into the roots of anxiety and stress. Our focus is integration: turning understanding into embodied experiences, so change becomes part of you, the shifts last, and the work flows naturally into daily life. This work enables you to not only think different, but to feel different.
Stress and anxiety can steal away your joy and ability to live fully in the present moment. If you are exhausted by worrying, analysing and preparing for worst case scenarios, feeling tense and uncomfortable in your body, questioning your value and worth, and struggling with self-acceptance and confidence, you are in the right place. At Integara, I guide you back to the present moment, and to your authentic, wise self. Authenticity is not a luxury, but a necessity for more ease, joy and confidence — and for feeling more connected to yourself and others. Together we move from numbness or swinging between operating on overdrive and collapsing into exhaustion — to finding balance, steady energy, and a sense of inner safety and presence.
With care that honours both science and your lived experiences, we tend to the patterns and protective strategies — such as people pleasing, perfectionism, over-giving or silencing your needs and emotions — that shape and amplify stress. We'll restore your innate capacity to meet life’s stressors with steadiness instead of overwhelm, and to experience connection to yourself and the world around you.
Within you already lies the capacity to meet life with trust, confidence, and wholeness.

About Me
Hi! I’m Eveliina, or Eve — a somatic therapist specialising in anxiety and chronic stress with nine years of experience in occupational therapy and integrative wellness. My work lives at the intersection of neurobiology, psychology, and lifestyle — where science meets the messy, beautiful reality of being human.
My journey into nervous system healing began as a personal exploration of how modern lifestyle, societal norms and pressures, relational patterns, and disconnection from our biology and authentic self shape mental and physical well-being. Over time, this evolved into a professional mission very close to my heart: to help my clients reconnect with their body’s innate wisdom so they can address stress and anxiety holistically at their roots and feel empowered, even in a world that often asks them to override their needs, experiences and emotions. I see authenticity as one of the best forms of stress relief, and am passionate about creating a compassionate space for my clients leaving them feeling seen and understood, more centered and confident in their ability to go through challenges.
I’m deeply curious about how invisible pressures collide with our physiology to fuel anxiety and stress cycles. My approach blends clinical expertise with integrative somatic practices — honouring your whole self, not just symptoms — to restore balance between the life you live and the life your body craves. Think of it as rewilding your nervous system: partnering with its natural functions instead of fighting them, to create change that starts from within.

Symptoms of Stress & Anxiety
Anxiety and stress often fuel a loop between mind and body: physical symptoms amplify worry and racing thoughts in the mind, which in turn deepen physical discomfort, which at times can spiral into overwhelm, shut down or panic. You might feel your world shrinking — exhausted by constant effort, disconnected from ease and joy, and longing for stability.
Anxiety doesn’t always look like obvious fear or panic. It can be loud or quiet, visible or hidden behind competence and responsibility.
Common symptoms of Chronic Stress & Anxiety
Emotional / Cognitive:
Persistent worry or fear, racing or intrusive thoughts, excessive planning, overthinking, irritability, emotional numbness and/or overwhelm, hypervigilance, self-doubt, self-criticism or shame, replaying conversations, difficulty making decisions, avoiding conflict, suppressing needs, feeling stuck, paralysed or on autopilot.
Relational / Functional:
Withdrawal or avoidance, communication break downs, social situations feeling effortful, relationship strain with a partner, family, friends or colleagues, difficulty keeping up with work demands, burnout after a prolonged stress/anxiety, reduced capacity, mistakes feeling highly destabilising, trying to hold it together while feeling internally on edge.
Physical / Somatic:
Ongoing fatigue that rest doesn’t resolve, feeling wired and tired at the same time, muscle tension, headaches, digestive issues, appetite or sleep changes, restlessness, dizziness, a quiet but constant sense of strain.
Overall, anxiety and chronic stress can create a general sense that life feels heavy, unpredictable and demanding — lacking ease, a sense of control, peace, sustainable energy, self-trust, confidence or joy.
My Approach
Rooted in nature. Backed by science. Led by Compassion.
To create lasting change, my service is based on understanding of stress and anxiety's neurobiological roots and multi-layered nature. They are a sensitised survival response that can be rewired. At times, anxiety is a needed, wise signal to prompt us to make changes and let go of what no longer serves us. My integrative somatic approach blends somatic practices, somatic cognitive-behavioural therapy tools, inner child healing and lifestyle adjustments to break the exhausting loop between physical symptoms and worry in the mind. I offer exploration of thought patterns and unconscious beliefs, emotional triggers, relational and communication challenges and cycles, release of stress and anxiety, reduction of physical symptoms such as tension and pain, and rewiring the nervous system to create change in how you feel, think and navigate challenges, relationships and life on a deep level.
My service is tailored to you, rooted in nature and backed by research — with a strong emphasis on curiosity, compassion and empowerment. Your session is your space where all of you is welcome. Together, we will create sustainable change that honours your whole self: your biology, your experiences, and your capacity to grow.
Compassion for your body is the first step toward reclaiming your life

Anxiety & Stress Through a Nervous System Lens
When a natural protective response operates on overdrive
Stress and anxiety are natural, protective responses shaped by your nervous system and life experiences. Their purpose is to increase alertness and help you respond to challenges, uncertainty and potential threats — real or perceived. When these responses are activated frequently, intensely, or without resolution, they can begin to disrupt everyday life — not because this is just who you are, but because your system has learned to stay on high alert.
From a neurobiological perspective, anxiety emerges through the interaction between the brain and the autonomic nervous system. When a potential threat is sensed, the amygdala helps trigger the stress response, more commonly known as the “fight or flight” response. This prepares the body for action by increasing energy, focus, and readiness. The insula contributes to how stress is felt in the body, while the hippocampus adds context based on past experiences. Together, these systems shape both the physical sensations and emotional experience of anxiety.
When stress is triggered repeatedly without release or resolution, the nervous system can remain in a state of heightened vigilance. Over time, the threshold for activating the stress response becomes lower, causing anxiety to arise more easily. The body stays braced for threat, even during ordinary everyday moments, which leave you exhausted, tense, or trapped in worry — and eventually burnt out and collapsed, but it doesn’t have to be permanent.
Anxiety isn’t a personal failing. Your nervous system adapts to and is shaped by your environments and experiences, and our interpretations of them, and sometimes it learns to overprotect. Healing begins when we reconnect and ally with our physiology and our body’s innate wisdom.
Anxiety is a message, not a life-sentence. It’s an invitation for compassionate self-exploration, a chance to grow and make changes, and a catalyst for reshaping old patterns.
